The Marketing & Industry Team (MIC) Coordinator supports the overall marketing and business development efforts of the Industry, Clients, and Markets group within the Business Development department. The position primarily works with the Financial Services Industry group and the Financial Services Regulatory practice. It also provides assistance on projects and activities for the Financial Services litigation and Real Estate teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Marketing Operations: Participate in day-to-day delivery of services for assigned teams:
    • Handle logistics and other administrative tasks related to newsletters, blogs, and briefings, including populating template with attorney-produced content and sending it to graphics and the CRM team to be formatted and distributed, respectively.
    • Handle logistical and other tasks related to client webinars, seminars, events, and sponsorships, including handling deliverables such as speaker biographies, photos, logos; coordinating IT and A/V arrangements; working directly with outside venues; and assisting with production/delivery of event-related materials. Focus on marketing the event to ensure attendance is targeted and follows partner and MIC Manager guidance/objectives.
    • Track expenses against budget for assigned practices, reviewing finance reports and correcting misclassified expenses.
    • Regularly update or add relevant experience to the firm’s experience system as requested, using information from completed directory and ranking submissions, as well as Closing the Deal and Winston Wins emails; and track pitch and proposal activity
  • Collateral: Draft content for marketing collateral under supervision of MIC manager and Senior Specialist, including industry and practice decks and conference leave-behinds. Keep track of industry- and practice-related awards and directory rankings, and refresh collateral content as needed.
  • Directories & Rankings: Assist with ranking and directory submissions, including building referee lists. Liaise with other firm departments (e.g., HR, Diversity & Inclusion, Finance, BD Research, and Docket) to collect information necessary to complete submissions.
  • Attorney Bios: Assist in creating specialty bios that focus on specific areas of substantive legal practice or industries. Update bios when new rankings and/or accolades are published and/or when attorneys have new thought leadership to add or other changes are needed.
  • Lateral Onboarding: Draft new attorney biographies for website publication; reach out to ranking organizations regarding updates when new partners join; input new laterals’ experience into experience system; and add new laterals’ experience to marketing collateral, as appropriate. Track lateral integration activity, as requested.
  • Department Standards: Adhere to standards set forth in the firm’s Staff Development Framework and BD Coordinator Role and Responsibilities, which will be provided during the interview and onboarding process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-year college degree required
  • 2+ years of business development, sales, marketing, or writing experience in a law firm or other professional services firm environment, or experience as a practicing attorney or in another similar legal industry role
